One Man’s Terrorist is Another Man’s Freedom Fighter

Related to my last post, apparently, Michelle Malkin, the Queen of Conservative Blogging who can come up with some real doozies is upset that Indonesia has prosecuted, and sentenced to death three terrorists. Yes, you are hearing this correctly. Take a look for yourself, one of the few times I will link to Ms. Malkin’s blog. Note how she quotes the charges against the men:

Fabianus Tibo, Dominggus da Silva and Marinus Riwa were condemned to death because they were found guilty of masterminding a massacre of 200 Muslims in Poso during inter-faith clashes in 2000.

Yet she holds back from calling them terrorists, but when a Muslim kills a Christian, she doesn’t hold back and starts calling Muslims “animals.”

These unappeasable animals mean what they say.

Not only that, but she complains that the Christian “terrorists” in Indonesia are not getting a full and fair trial. She notes:

Muslims Will Execute Christians In Indonesia on Thursday–despite grave doubts raised over the fairness of the trial.

Fairness of the trial? Is it not Michelle Malkin who not only doesn’t question the fairness of military tribunals in America, but is strongly for it?

What’s the difference? Is a terrorist not always a terrorist? Or perhaps when a Christian kills a bunch of Muslims, that Christian deserves a fair trial, but when a Muslim kills many Christians, he should be executed on the spot…..

Glen Greenwald expertly excoriates Ms. Malkin’s position, showing how Americans don’t mind Muslims being tortured or given unfair trials, but the moment a Christian is accused of terrorist acts, they push to ensure they get a fair trial. Oh the hypocrisy of the Christian Right!
