Yes, I saw this. Poor kid that ran all that distance didn’t even get the reward. This sort of summarizes the disrespect we have toward Iraqis in general. 655,000 dead on their side are nothing compared to our 3000 dead etc.

That’s exactly what I got out of this. The Disrespect. This video highlights the vast levels of class that America views itself in comparison to the regular Iraqi.
Those kids are going to spread the word: “Americans toy with us, treats us like dogs, and not share water.” If kids tell that to their older siblings and parents, what are they going to do? Certainly not feel love in their hearts towards Americans.
You can’t have a clearer example of HOW we lost the hearts and minds of the Iraqis than this….(well, I guess Abu Ghraib is a clearer example, but I figured that was a given). 🙂

I am looking at the whole picture. I see death and destruction that far outweighs any of the small positives like the picture you have of the soldier and the boy.

i think that is cruel our soldiers are out there being meen to little kids that are dying of thirst
