“Please Tax Me!”

A commenter at CNN writes:

Republicans lowered my taxes, and will keep them low. But the value of my home has dropped 20%, my health insurance costs have doubled, gas costs $4 a gallon, and my investments are in the tank. Please, tax me.

  1. Except that’s a very glaring logical fallacy.

  2. it’s very apparent that the money does not “trickle down”

    and, why is is so difficult for people to see that the less the fed tax you, the more the local/state governments will.

    What exactly is wrong with it? I think a great point is made. Taxes are low, but everything else is high, so what use is the tax cut?
