Barack Obama, Calm, Reasoned, Presidential

September 24, 2008 at 4:38 pm | Posted in American politics | 6 Comments

Isn’t this who you would want in a crisis?

No brash decisions, calm and reasonable. That’s who I want to lead our country.

  1. It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We address ourselves not to their humanity but to their self love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages.AdamSmithAdam Smith, Wealth of Nations, 1776

  2. Yeah, no experience too. Once he gets in the massive solcialist programs he will bring will devalue the dollar as bad as Carter and probably drive up interest rates as bad. Trouble is its already effected. So it may be much worse. This guy promises everything to everyone. Doesn’t that sound even a little bit fishy to any of you? Telling you exactly what you want to hear?
We know in the last days a great false prophet will woo many to him. This guy fits that to a T.
Of course I don’t think he is that false prophet but just remember in a year when he gets in and things are really depressed what I said her. Its coming if he gets in.

  3. “this guy promises everything to everyone”. a- what is he promising “the rich”? isn’t he promising to tax them more? isn’t be promising to take away all the tax incentives that bush gave them? that doesn’t sound like he’s trying to make everyone happy to me. it sounds like he’s making the wrongs bush did right.

  4. Tax incentives (what incentives?) to the rich are wrong? It’s bad to be rich in America? It’s bad to make your own way? It’s bad to then spend more money, therefore creating tax revenues, than the average american due in large part to the demands of running Fortune 500 companies and being taxed more than anyone else in the nation?

People can’t afford things they want, not things they need. People are poor in many instances because of large cell phone bills and too-large house payments. In reality, people have made their own mistakes.

Taxing the rich will stunt economic growth.

And Obama didn’t make any rash decisions. He didn’t make any decision at all.

  5. get back on the subject, wronger

  6. oh, and btw, you think rich people should get special treatment just for being rich? they deserve special loop holes? man, you ARE republican! and might i add, how Christlike of you, truther. enjoy that bread and water on sunday!
