Condoleezza Rice, Fashionably Late
December 30, 2008 at 4:07 pm | Posted in American politics | 2 CommentsCondoleezza Rice, one of the worst Secretaries of State the United States has ever had, is fashionably late in calling for Israel to stop the killings. Just like her “birth pangs” moment two years ago with Lebanon, she is running late in getting the killings to end now in Gaza. She ought to know that Hamas just has to endure the bombings and they win. Just like Hezbollah. All Hamas has to do is survive. She ought to know this. But what does she do? She doesn’t phone in to the Israelis to warn them not to strike. She lets them strike. Why? Because there is but one month left for Israel to reign free. After that, a more responsible administration will come to power in America. One that will see that such actions are bereft of wisdom regarding Israel’s long term security and peace. Surely Condoleezza Rice called over to Israel before Israel began bombing and said, “Listen boys, I’m going to be silent for three days. Get your targets in. Kill as many as you can. That’s your window. After that, I’m going to start working the phones and pretend to call for peace. Shalom.”
So Much For Peace in the Middle East
December 27, 2008 at 2:48 pm | Posted in American politics | 15 CommentsThe criminal incompetence of the Bush administration comes to a close with a shock and awe bang. Does anyone remember the “Annapolis Conference?” George Bush’s window dressing attempts at peace between Israel and Palestine are blowing up in his face just as he is trying to establish his legacy. But his legacy is war, death and destruction. He can’t change that.
This is the legacy of George W. Bush
This is what he will be remembered for.
Death.

Stupid Stupid Republicans
December 12, 2008 at 7:13 am | Posted in American politics | 1 CommentI can’t wait until 2010, when we will remove 15 more Republicans from the Senate. And then 2012 when another 10 are gone. And so on and so on. Enjoy a severe recession—possibly a depression, including deflation—America. And be sure to thank your local Republican.
